The main subject of the project is to investigate basic principles to control condensed matters by using strong pulsed and steady magnetic fields. To realize this goal, the project targets on the major improvements in the measuring techniques in high magnetic fields such as X-ray, neutron, NMR, ESR, STM and spectroscopy. Those advanced and unique techniques are then applied to investigate novel magnetic states and exotic electronic phases induced by high magnetic fields. Moreover, theoretical investigations bring the understanding and the generalization of such knowledge. The symposium will be held as the summary on the halfway of the project, which is expected to accelerate the activities, the mutual communications and international collaborations among researches in this area.
